Just gorgeous! It really is a gift to see you in this season…. One of the OG girl bosses in her gardening era. Refreshing and permission granting. 💖 appreciate you x

Thank you thank you Lauren, this feels like a wonderful place to be! Thanks for following allll the eras, I'm on my own eras tour (it's just unfolding over literal eras, lol!)

Oh if this didn’t find me at the exact right moment 🩷 I’m in a giant season of unknowns after chasing achievement for the last decade, and I started my substack yesterday (partly in thanks to inspiration from you!). I have saved this and I know I will come back to it again and again. Thank you for this 🥰

Thank you so much for writing your book (and this post) 💜 Reading it four years ago changed the trajectory of my life. Literally tearing up over here thinking about how far I've come since then.

"Could I make work the least interesting thing about me?" -- obsessed with this and definitely something I'm going to sit with.

This is SO beautiful, Jenna. Thanks for posting. One of your recent pieces about gardening (it was ostensibly about gardening, but really contained so much more) inspired the Afghan girls to write this ghazal: "A woman is a seed-ground of infinite potential, preserving innumerable multitudes, which grow when ripe into endless wonders" which in Dari is: زن کشتزاری از امکانِ بی‌پایان است،

که بی‌شماران را در خود نهفته دارد،

کسانی که چون برسند، به شگفتی‌های بی‌پایان می‌رویند.

Something you wrote stuck out- you don’t need me to lead you through any of it…hero of your own story. Jenna, your book has guided me over the past few years! I was lost, looking for clarity after my dog died in a car crash. Looking for my new identity outside of being a dog mom. And when I’d listen to How Are You Really (one of the very few books I re-read), I felt like I was being brought back home to myself again. Now, I’m in this in between where I know where I want to go, but am just not there yet. So although yes, I am the hero of my story, your book has been my constant reminder of hope and clarity that I will get there. So thanks for that :-) and I can’t wait to hear what’s next for you too!

I just ordered your book (it’s on super sale on audible for the next day or two!) I’m also in a season of so much change and I can’t wait to see who emerges next 🫶

The timing of this is impeccable. I bought your book four years ago, and four years later, I am a completely different woman.

I am entering into a new season while trying to make space to reflect on the previous one, so the timing of this is perfect. Thank you for sharing and inviting us to sit with this question.

Imani! Thank you for letting me in then and even more for letting me in now! Isn't it wild and beautiful how much we can change in a short time? Life is so beautiful in how it all unfolds. I'm typing this next to a four year old who's coloring a unicorn (and staying in the lines) and I can't even reconcile that she was in my belly when I wrote.

oh jenna, ‘ letting myself want less instead of more’. what wisdom! Practicing being contented with less is ancient wisdom in my book. I love you, and I’m so proud of your growth. Love, auntie Deb.❤️

Oh Auntie, I love you so very much! You inspire me too, with your presence and love!

Love, love, loved this book. I remember the first time I read it, it sparked so much for me. I was inspired to take notes on “if I wrote a book one day what would I write.” Maybe someday. For now, I write on Substack. Any plans to write another book?

Jenna Kutcher's avatar

Okay, well, this is AMAZING! Luisa, I am so happy to hear this and I love that you're writing here. No current plans but truly enjoying writing here just for the sake of writing! It feels like a creative unlock I was craving!

This was such a beautiful reminder that becoming isn't about reaching a finish line. It's about having the courage to keep asking the deeper questions. Thank you for sharing this so honestly. This will also encourage people to embrace the season they're in without feeling the need to have it all figured out. Love this! 💖

The realness! Here for it. And so glad you are choosing to write from the messy middle. I love the permission to create space for the deeper questions and to get quiet enough to hear the answers. And that it doesn’t need to make sense. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just go one day at a time, being willing to ask, and being willing to be true to yourself.

Thank you! This was beautiful.

Oh just me over here crying my eyes out over the copy of the book your grandparents had— the underlining and notes 🥺😭 and just so proud of you, your heart, this writing and all of it. Sending you guys so much love! And I wish dahlias all the way across the county 😂🙋‍♀️
